European Factors -- Shares to rise on earnings optimism

LONDON, Jan 11 (Reuters) - European shares were set to rise on Tuesday, after Wall Street finished off lows, and Alcoa kicked off earnings season by beating forecasts. Financial spreadbetters expected Britain's FTSE 100 to open as much as 29 points higher, or 0.5 percent; Germany's DAX to open up to 18 points higher, or 0.3 percent, and France's CAC to open up to 18 points higher, or 0.5 percent.
