Lower Close As Libyan Violence Pushes Oil Prices Higher

Despite a drop in the nation's unemployment rate to the lowest level in almost two years, the market closed lower with the Dow tumbling 88 points to 12,169 as escalating violence in Libya pushed oil prices higher. Nasdaq fell 14 points to 2784.
