Latest Round of Cuts in Drug Prices Takes Effect in China

Drug prices for 162 China medications dropped an average 21% today, three weeks after the price cuts were mandated by the PRC’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). The savings for China’s populace is estimated at $1.5 billion annually. Because the NDRC considered each formulation of each drug separately, the regulations officially covered 1,265 specific drugs.
