Dawson McAllister Association Chooses Terenine Technology Solutions for Data Center Outsourcing
Terenine Technology Solutions, an expert in managed services, applications development, and data center design and operation, has been chosen by Dawson McAllister Association to provide a full range of IT services for the fast-growing teen support network.
The Dawson McAllister Association (DMA) is a non-profit organization that helps teenagers and young adults in crisis situations. It runs TheHopeLine media network, which includes a toll-free crisis hotline and the Dawson McAllister Live syndicated radio talk show that airs on 150 top 40 music radio stations nationwide and reaches 750,000 listeners weekly. DMA also maintains a Website with access to a blog, online chat, social media and more. Dawson McAllister, the organization’s founder, is one of the nation’s most influential and dynamic teen ministry leaders.
Over the last three years, DMA’s monthly volume of interactions with teens and young adults grew from 2,000 to 7,000.
Dave Anderson, director of rescue, DMA, says, “With dramatic growth in the number of teens reaching out to us, our antiquated IT infrastructure was becoming less reliable and not able to support new applications we needed. Because we’re non-profit, we were depending on part-time IT consultants with limited support capabilities. As we grew, we were getting closer to the edge of a major disaster.”
To address these issues, the Spring Hill, Tenn.-based DMA decided to outsource its entire data center to Terenine Technology Solutions. Terenine migrated DMA’s infrastructure to its cloud-enabled data center in Chattanooga, Tenn., which includes a Tier III Design Certified Data Center.

“Because of Terenine’s cloud, we’re able to increase capacity at the drop of a hat,” states Anderson. “With a single phone call, additional storage or virtual servers are allocated in less than an hour. It’s a huge change from when it took weeks or even months to get new equipment purchased and running.”
By moving its data center to Terenine’s hosted private cloud, DMA gained access to best-of-breed technology and advanced professional services that it couldn’t have afforded as a single organization.
