Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) Chrome operating system only runs on notebook personal computers and the U.S. company doesn’t plan to introduce the software for tablet use, Sundar Pichai, senior vice president of Chrome at Google, said Tuesday. Pichai declined to explain why the company won’t introduce the Chrome software to tablets. He said in a press briefing during the electronics trade show Computex that Google plans to hire more engineers in Taiwan to expand its center on research and development of the Chrome software.
