The aerospace company agreed to a multimillion-dollar settlement with the U.S. government.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – Boeing Co. has reportedly agreed to a settlement with the U.S. government after the filing of a lawsuit claiming the aerospace giant’s work on military planes was defective. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the company will settle the claims for $25 million, with two former Boeing employees who filed the whistlerblower suit to receive $2.6 million in compensation.
As noted by the AP, despite the settlement agreement, Boeing has maintained that it has not done anything wrong. Forrest Gossett, a spokesperson for the company, is quoted in the report as stating, “Boeing disagreed with the (Justice Dept.) claims that our employees improperly installed the blankets and improperly billed the Air Force for our work.”
