WOR 710 AM to Host 3rd Annual 12 Hour "Red Kettle Day" RADIOTHON to Benefit the Greater New York Division of the Salvation Army
NEW YORK, Dec. 8, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- WOR 710 AM will host a star-studded RADIOTHON to be broadcast live from Centennial Memorial Temple at the Salvation Army headquarters, located at 120 W. 14th Street in Manhattan from 6:00 AM through 6:00 PM. The event will feature hosts John Gambling, Joan Hamburg, Dr. Joy Browne and Governor David Paterson as they engage their listening audience to raise funds for The Salvation Army's myriad of programs and services provided year-long throughout the Greater New York region. Listeners will call into (800) 234-1710 to make their donations and pledges, and the general public is welcome to attend the event.

The 12 hour event will also include scheduled performances from the cast of Broadway shows: Mamma Mia!, Anything Goes, and Memphis as well as songsters Michael Feinstein, Peter Yarrow and Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul and Mary fame, Melissa Errico, John Pizzarelli and Andrea Marcovicci. Scheduled appearances also include Steve Ross and Tony Danza.
