Shares to Open Lower After Biggest Gains in Four Years

US stock index futures pointed to a lower open on Wall Street on Wednesday following the May Day holiday across most of Europe and Asia as investors waited for non-farm payroll data on Friday, to see whether there are signs the economic recovery remains on track.
