MSN adds Walt Blackham to its Management Team

PR Log - May 02, 2012 - Management Services Network (MSN) is pleased to announce the addition of Walt Blackham to its management team as Senior Vice President.  Mr. Blackham comes to MSN with a strong background in radiology billing and practice management and is recognized nationally as one of the leading authorities on radiology coding. Mr. Blackham was the Practice Administrator of a large radiology group practice for 20 years and is formerly President and CEO of Specialty Medical Services, Inc., a billing service for radiology and pathology practices. He is also the principal of Radiology Coding Consults, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in CPT coding for radiology practices.  

Mr. Blackham was the Chairperson of the Coding Committee of the Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) and currently is a member of the Committee on Coding and Nomenclature of the American College of Radiology (ACR), a position he has held off and on for many years.  He was a contributor to the Interventional Radiology Coding User’s Guide published by The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and has spoken on all aspects of CPT coding in Radiology at numerous seminars including the RSNA, the ACR, the SIR, and the RBMA annual meetings.

Mr. Blackham holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University and Masters of Science degree in Radiological Sciences from the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine.  He has also done additional post graduate work in the Executive MBA Program at Kent State University.  He was a Registered Radiological Technologist in Diagnostic Radiology for over 35 years.
