Creditshout, a leading credit card comparison site has released an in-depth comparison between two of the most popular cards for earning rewards toward a Disney World vacation. Comparing the the Disney Premier Visa and Chase Sapphire Preferred, CreditShout found a $373 difference in savings.

However with credit card rewards the most popular option isn't always the best option which is why it's so important to read the fine print and understand a rewards program before you apply for a card." said Kevin Fleming, founder of CreditShout. "This time of year is when we start to get a lot of questions about using credit card rewards for a Disney vacations. Kids are getting out of school and parents are starting to scramble to plan their Disney vacation, and figure out how to pay for it. This is when those hard earned credit card rewards really save the day."

Creditshout found that with the Chase Sapphire Preferred card, consumers can earn over $893 in rewards on $25,000 in spending, redeemable towards a Disney Vacation. With the Disney Premier Visa consumers could earn $520 in total rewards on the same amount of spending. The difference of $373 means that the Chase Sapphire Preferred card effectively offers a 58% premium in total rewards over the Disney Premier.

Total rewards were calculated by looking at the initial sign up bonus offered by each card, purchase rewards earned, and additional discounts received when booking the vacation with each of the cards.

Both cards are offered through Chase Bank. The Disney Premier Visa re-launched earlier this year with new designs for 2012.
