Why your choice of S&P 500 ETF matters

Of all ETFs, the most broadly owned is the S&P 500 index, which can be purchased via Vanguard, SPDR and iShares. In theory, these ETFs should all be the same as they’re benchmarking the same index. However, there are some small differences hidden in their structure.
