Online boutique launches catalogue inspired by stories of real women going about their everyday life.

PRLog - Jun 13, 2013 - MADRID, Spain -- Online fairtrade scarves boutique releases its catalogue titled "All about fairtrade scarves".

Item descriptions are phrases that read like short stories.

"I wanted to add a special touch to the catalogue. I was inspired by the women I met over the course of last year. We invited real women for the photo-shoot, each telling her story", explains Sabina Socoli, author of the catalogue.

Women who agreed to the photo-shoot are not professional models and are at different stages in their personal and professional lives.

The brand sprang up in response to the growing need for sustainable quality fashion. It started with a limited collection of 100 scarves with a maximum of 5 units of each design. Each scarf was selected for its colour and quality with the intention of re-introducing natural fabrics to the summer wardrobe.

"We all know that silk and wool can be worn all year long, including in summer due to its properties", adds Sabina.

Travelling to remote locations in India in order to personally meet the weavers, the founder ascertained that ethical business practices formed part of the entire production chain.

"It was important to establish a company that supports and empowers vulnerable sections of society. Progress means empowerment", she says.

eKliss retails scarves and shawls made of ethically-sourced natural fabrics. It was founded in summer 2012 with clients in USA, Spain and Belgium.
