Energy stocks edged lower Monday afternoon, bucking gains by the broadermarket as Wall Street appraised earnings, including those of oil-field services provider Halliburton (HAL). The SPDR Energy Select Sector (XLE) fell 0.12% to $83.62. Halliburton posted second-quarter results that beat analyst expectations.
