FitLinxx Introduces Pebble Wireless Activity Tracking Devices for FitLinxx Professional Users

FitLinxx,a provider of wireless health and wellness technology that motivates people to live actively and improve their well-being, today announced that its Pebble® activity tracking device will soon be available to users of FitLinxx Professional fitness products.

FitLinxx Professional offers fitness facilities a computerized exercise tracking system that attaches directly to fitness equipment, adding an intelligent dimension to the workout experience. The system learns users’ exercise programs, coaches them individually through their workouts, tracks their progress over time, and provides a level of safety and confidence during every exercise.

FitLinxx’s Pebble is a simple, natural device that clips to an individual’s shoe, belt, waistband, pocket or bra, blending seamlessly into daily life. The waterproof device automatically tracks the number of steps taken, calories burned, distance traveled and total activity time throughout the day, and works across multiple activity types. The Pebble provides instant feedback at a glance on the device, showing progress that an individual has made toward his/her daily activity goal, as well as data sync status and remaining battery life.

With the integration of the Pebble and FitLinxx Professional, members at FitLinxx-powered fitness facilities will be able to purchase and use the Pebble to easily and automatically track their activities throughout the day. Data from the Pebble will seamlessly flow into the FitLinxx Professional system, giving them credit for additional exercise. It will also enable members to earn FitPoints and view this data with other FitLinxx Professional workout data.

Enhanced Training Partner

FitLinxx also announced that fitness facilities can now put sponsors’ logos and messaging for facility members on its enhanced Training Partner devices. The Training Partner is a color touchscreen display that attaches directly to strength equipment and provides interactive coaching to ensure proper form and weight during exercises. It also collects exercise data while a member is working out and provides it to the staff and member. The Training Partner enables staff to determine the appropriate level of interaction and engagement for each member. The result is a rewarding, interactive facility experience that creates a strong connection between facility staff and members, and keeps members coming back to facilities.
