While the closed transactions differ in location and circumstances of Buyers and Sellers, both properties were cash purchases. Karin acted as the listing agent for an oceanfront property in Wilbur-by-the Sea and as the selling agent for buyers from West Virginia who bought their dream home in New Smyrna Beach. In both scenarios, the Buyers will use their new properties as vacation homes first and in a few years, as their primary residences.
What will likely increase the number of high volume transactions in the Greater Daytona Beach area is the fact that consumers are more comfortable with the economy in general, banks are offering jumbo loans again and buyers can now sell their properties up north and relocate to Florida.
