PRLog - Oct. 1, 2013 - HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, La Isla Magazine is sponsoring the 2nd Annual New River Auto Mall Latin Music Festival at Shelter Cove Community Park; the event will take place on Saturday, October 19, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. This year’s event looks to be a rip-roaring Latin-themed fiesta, featuring all the music, dancing, food, and fun activities that coastal Lowcountry residents could ask for.
Of course, there will be plenty of hot Latin music on tap, with live performances by:
- Bachata Flow
- Son del Coqui
- Tequila Show
The celebration will also include food, tequila, cultural performances, a dancing competition, lots of activities for children, and the crowning of the 2014 Miss and Mister La Isla Magazine. Voting for the Miss and Mister La Isla Magazine community pageant was conducted on La Isla Magazine’s Facebook page, and the finalists have been announced on the New River Auto Mall Facebook page.
Over 5,000 revelers attended last year’s festival, which featured 75 vendors, while the Miss La Isla pageant raised over $3,000 for local community nonprofit organizations. A similar turnout is expected this year, and expectations are high both for the event itself and for its potential to raise money for community nonprofits.
This is an event that will provide loads of entertainment and fun in a family-friendly atmosphere. The entrance fee to the 2nd Annual New River Auto Mall Latin Music Festival is $4, and free for children under the age of 10.
