Key Factor for Ironman Age Group Champion Transformation is now Available Worldwide

Amos Gollach, Hawaii 2013 Ironman 18-24 Age Group Champion, started from the very bottom and worked his way to high-performance age group levels through consistent training and an iron will to defy and surpass his bodies limits.

Amos Gollach was born and spent his first 16 years in Zimbabwe. Under the increasing pressure caused by Mugabe’s regime, he immigrated along with his family to Australia where a new chapter of his life began.

Amos used to participate in a cross section of sports back in Zimbabwe, but initially triathlon wasn’t one of them. It wasn’t until he moved to Australia that he discovered his passion for triathlon. Still, passion does not mean talent. “I have little talent, in fact in my first triathlon I came stone last in my age group. I was seven hundred and something overall and got beaten by more than two hundred women”, says Amos Gollach.

Still, he persevered and started training at a triathlon training club in Perth. His results started improving considerably but were not keeping up with the rate at which his passion for triathlon and hunger for results was growing.

Ironman in Busselton 2012 marked a crucial shift for Amos. “I only finished third in my age group getting smashed by two athletes racing their first Ironman (one of whom was an Endurance Team member)”, says Amos Gollach who started to notice a pattern. Long story short, he decided it was time to become part of Endurance Team and look to receive coaching and guidance by Jarrod Evans, one of only 5 High Performance Level 3 Elite triathlon coaches in Australia.

“I felt in order to improve I needed a coach with more involvement. This year, together with Jarrod, we have made improvements I never would have thought possible. Jarrod reviews all my training files daily and we correspond and make change and improvement on a daily basis. He has coached 14 world age group champions and his athletes’ results speak for themselves.”, says Amos Gollach explaining what pushed him to join ETN and what impact that had on him.

Since joining EnduranceTeam, Amos has been growing exponentially and hard race facts don’t lie. He set a new age group course record at Cairns Ironman this year and crushed the competition in Hawaii beating Christoph Schlagbauer who came second by more than 2 minutes.

This is how Amos Gollach, a 23 year-old Masters of Economics student, became the 14th world age group champion in the history of Jarrod Evans and rest of EnduranceTeam coaches and added yet another testimonial in their “hall of fame”. Amos’ story could be considered a proof of ETN’s triathlon coaching efficiency. This conclusion is not the result of an experiment conducted in an isolated environment but it’s not an isolated case either.

According to Jarrod Evans, EnduranceTeam has tested and perfected their programs through working with hundreds of athletes. ETN claims these programs are flexible and offer different levels of difficulty taking into consideration the athlete’s level and experience.

EnduranceTeam’s programs are available through their official website, which aggregates their programs, local training activities, weekly newsletters, competition results and testimonials. A visit could be worth the while for triathletes and aspiring triathletes.

EnduranceTeam is a Geelong-based triathlon training and coaching club for all levels and age groups. It is run by Jarrod Evans, head coach supervising six of the best triathlon coaches in Geelong, AU.
