PRLog - Nov. 26, 2013 - COLUMBIA, Md. -- The Baltimore Business Journal unveiled its list of up-and-coming entrepreneurs, age 39 and under, who have made significant contributions to the Greater Baltimore business community. Jumpstart:HR CEO and Career Search Book Author Joey Price was recognized as a rising young leader in the Baltimore Metro area. Since the company’s launch in 2011, Price has had a vision for his company and feels honored to have been recognized for the award

“I wanted to create a company that enhances the workplace experience for both leadership and employees alike in small and emerging companies. That means developing a company that helps leaders align business strategy to talent strategy and creates a culture that promotes high employee engagement. We do this by applying creative HR leadership strategy with efficient outsourced HR administration that allows our clients to get more HR while doing [and paying] less.” says Price

Jumpstart:HR is a managed HR Services Firm that provides HR support for small businesses and start-ups across the United States. With Joey Price leading the way, Jumpstart:HR has managed to serve clients in DC, FL, ID,  MD, NE, NE, NY OH, OR and PA and place many entry and senior level workers into jobs, in a struggling economy. Joey received his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from University of Maryland-College Park, but decided to change his career path, and upon graduating, pursued his Master’s degree in Human Resources Management and Development from the University of Maryland University College. While education has played a major role in his success, Price offers that his first job as a one-hour photo attendant/cashier at CVS honed his leadership and customer service skills.

A self-proclaimed “HR nerd,” Price maintains that personal branding is a huge part of the success of Jumpstart:HR. “My personal brand has evolved to what it is today because I've just figured out what makes me different, worked on both my self-awareness and emotional intelligence and surrounded myself with mentors and peers who push me to become a better person.”

With a strong work ethic and supportive network, Joey understands that a healthy work-life balance is also key to his success. In his downtime, Price travels, listens to music, and even plays the bass guitar. His life quote is that of Steve Prefontaine-“To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift."

When asked about the future of Jumpstart:HR, Price says that as the company grows, he hopes to continue to create a legacy of premium value and efficiency, solve customer problems and inspire his staff in ways that will be authentic.

As CEO and Chief HR Consultant of Jumpstart:HR, Joey Price oversees the operations of the organization providing trusted Human Resources support and expertise to small and medium sized business across the United States.

Jumpstart:HR creates solutions to support Human Resource departments to streamline their processes in order to most effectively manage personnel, remain legally compliant, and complete necessary documentation.
