VetToCEO announces the launch of its Entrepreneurship for Transitioning Warriors online program.  The program is designed by experienced entrepreneurs who are also veterans, exclusively for veterans of all branches and transitioning members of the military interested in exploring entrepreneurship.

According to Brad Baker, Executive Director of VetToCEO, and an Army veteran himself, “Our belief is  that the most realistic, sustainable solution to the veteran unemployment crisis lies in this nation’s ability to help veterans start or buy businesses then hire their fellow veterans as their business grows.  Our program is our bold initiative to contribute to solving that problem. “

VetToCEO is a non-profit community designed for veteran entrepreneurs, by veteran entrepreneurs.  The VetToCEO community and two core programs are provided for free and online so that any veteran can participate regardless of their location.  The community includes:

• A core, 8-week group-based online program in entrepreneurship exclusively for veterans and transitioning members of the military. The webinar-based program enables veterans to construct a viable business plan based on the military planning model framework.  The program also leverages the innovative Gust platform to assist participants in creating their business plans and more importantly, seeking funding sources for their businesses.

• An online Introductory Program, designed so that veterans can explore entrepreneurship and career options at their own pace. The VetToCEO Introductory Program consists of three online learning modules and an entrepreneurial self-assessment that provides the knowledge and skills required for starting a business, buying a business or seeking more meaningful employment.  The site also includes collaboration forums and resources helpful for veteran entrepreneurs.

• A veteran entrepreneur community portal of mentors, bankers, investors, educators and others who care about veteran entrepreneurs.  The community is an online platform that centralizes all content communications and activities for the Entrepreneurship for Transitioning Warriors program. It provides a wealth of veteran centric, entrepreneurial resources including success stories, news feeds, discussion threads and a community of fellow veteran entrepreneurs to collaborate with that may lead to partnering opportunities.

Unlike traditional entrepreneurship training programs that are geared toward general audiences and taught in classrooms, the VetToCEO Entrepreneurship for Transitioning Warriors program is offered online.  The goal of VetToCEO is to scale the program by using technology to reach the tens of thousands of transitioning military and current veterans who are interested in entrepreneurship as a career option without any barriers to access.

The new program is a collaboration with strategic partner LogicBay.  John Panaccione, CEO of the VetToCeo strategic partner, LogicBay, and an Army veteran stated “the Entrepreneurship for Transitioning Warriors Program is an engaging, interactive and highly scalable learning experience that enables veterans to reflect on the skills they picked up in the military and then explore entrepreneurship as a viable career path option.  Most veterans don’t realize how much the military has prepared them to be entrepreneurs until years after they transition out of the military.  Our goal with this program is to help veterans and transitioning military members become aware of these strengths sooner rather than later in their careers after the military.”

The core program of Entrepreneurship for Transitioning Warriors will leverage the tools available to entrepreneurs in the Gust online platform.  “Gust and VetToCEO share the goal of eliminating barriers to entrepreneurship for any individuals seeking to develop a concept into a successful venture,” confirmed Lisa Balter Saacks, Gust VP of Business Development.  “Access to capital is crucial to an entrepreneur’s success, and the program teaches veterans how to access the growing number of veteran-focused investor groups on Gust.”
