J.C. Penney Company Inc. (NYSE: JCP) swung to a small profit for the fourth quarter of 11 cents per share from massive losses a year earlier of $2.51 per share and forecast higher margins in 2014. Shares of the struggling retailer leaped $1.47 to $7.43.
