UPDATE 1-Energen to sell Alabama gas utility to Laclede for $1.28 bln

April 7 (Reuters) - Energen Corp said it would sell its natural gas utility Alabama Gas Corp (Alagasco) to Laclede Group Inc for $1.28 billion in cash to focus on oil and gas exploration and production.
