Taste Of Key West Returns To Entice Tourists With Tempting Treats

One of the most food-friendly small towns in America, Key West has an extraordinary number of high quality chefs who create culinary masterpieces. Monday, April 14th is the annual event that everyone looks forward to so they can try all of it at once

In a town with an average population of just around twenty-five thousand people, a person would be hard-pressed to find three or more restaurants that feature superb culinary skills and the freshest ingredients. But to find a town that size with thirty or forty such restaurants? There is only one town that has that and it's Key West Florida. Every April, they celebrate this unparalleled level of culinary mastery by hosting the annual "Taste of key West."

This event, now in its 19th year, brings together fifty Key West restaurants and twice as many vineyards and distributors so that people can enjoy all the best that Key West has to offer for both food and drinks. With the prices of such treats ranging from between three and eight dollars, a person can choose just how much of everything they want to try. Best of all, this event, like so many of the magnificent events that continue to make Key West Florida one of the top travel destinations in the country, is not just about the food and drink, but also about giving back by serving as a fundraiser for AIDS Help.

Almost as quickly as this became one of the biggest events of the season, they also started a secondary event the Sunday before. For a separate admission fee, guests are invited to join the prestigious Vintner's Dinner. This multi-course affair brings together some of the best chefs in Key West who each prepare a separate dish for the meal that is then paired with an exclusive collection of wines. This is the perfect opportunity to taste some of the best food on the island as the chefs use the event to show off the full range of their creativity.

When you have beautiful beaches, historic buildings, world class art and the most famous night life in the country, it doesn't seem like Key West Florida would have to do anything else to help entice people to come for a visit. By creating such events like the Taste of Key West however, they ensure that every time you come back to visit it will be a whole new experience.
