Dynamic Pet Duo Petrendologist Charlotte Reed and Michael Fleck, DVM celebrate “Don't Fry Day," an event to raise awareness about pet sun protection and skin cancer prevention on May 23, 2014 at the Animal Medical Center of Bradenton, located in Bradenton, Florida.
PRLog - May 23, 2014 - BRADENTON, Fla. -- That warm summer sunshine feels amazing on your skin. But, did you remember your sunscreen? How about sun protection for your furry friends? According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, the number one natural killer of dogs and cats in the United States is cancer, with skin cancer finding itself at the top of the cancer list.

On May 23, 2014, the Dynamic Pet Duo of Petrendologist Charlotte Reed and Michael Fleck, DVM will host “Don’t Fry Day” at the Animal Medical Center of Bradenton. During the Pet Power Couple’s “Don’t Fry Day” event Reed and Fleck will discuss how to protect your pet from the effects of the summer sun. Pet parents will learn about the benefits of pet sunscreen and be informed as to the newest pet products, ranging from sun protection clothing; outdoor, shaded pet loungers; and water stations that can keep their pets safe this summer. Additionally, “Don’t Fry Day” participants will have the rare opportunity to ask Reed and Dr. Fleck questions about their pets’ specific skin types, environmental conditions and preventative strategies. This face-to-face, educational event promises to promote pet sun protection awareness and overall pet health.

Pet owners are encouraged to bring their fur babies along to the petcentric event. Canine attendees can enjoy a FREE, therapeutic sun treatment courtesy of the Epi-Pet. Games, wading pools and refreshments, too!

Don’t have a pet…yet? Adoptable dogs from the Moonracer No Kill Animal Shelter will be on-site for easy viewing and adoption. “Don’t Fry Day” provides the unique opportunity to learn first-hand how to best take care of a pet’s summertime needs and then take home that forever friend.

Join Dr. Fleck and Ms. Reed from 11am to 2pm on May 23, 2014 at the Animal Medical Center of Bradenton, located at 3102 Cortez Road West, Bradenton, Florida 34207, for the “Don’t Fry Day” Pet Event.
