June 30 deadline for entries in two business categories and corporate social responsibility honor
PRLog - Jun. 2, 2014 - HOUSTON -- The British-American Business Council Houston and Presenting Sponsor United Airlines invite companies involved in trade and investment between Texas and the UK to enter the 5th Annual BABC International Business Awards in two business categories and the Consul General’s Award for corporate social responsibility.
The BABC awards programme is designed to acknowledge the contributions of US and UK companies to the Texas and UK economies and to US/UK educational, philanthropic and cultural exchanges. The UK is the #1 Direct Foreign Investor in Texas and the #1 Foreign Employer contributing $20b to the economy and 70,000 jobs. Trade between the two economies tops out at $10b. Entry is open to both US and UK companies statewide.
Entries will be accepted in the categories of Small to Mid-sized Business, Large Corporate and the Consul General’s Award for Corporate Social Responsibility.
