Hillshire Brands will talk with both suitors

After Pilgrim's Pride Corp. (Nasdaq: PPC) increased its offer for The Hillshire Brands Co. (NYSE: HSH) to top Tyson Foods Inc.'s (NYSE: TSN) bid, Hillshire Brands said that it would engage in negotiations with both companies. Shares of Pilgrim's Pride slipped 45 cents to $25.47 while Hillshire Brands stock jumped $5.12 to $58.69. Tyson Foods stock lost $1.13 to $42.27.
