Eid Passport Named Employer of the Year by Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation

Eid Passport, Inc., a market leader in high-assurance identity management solutions and the largest commercial provider of vendor credentials at military facilities, received the Employer of the Year Award from the Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) for its promotion of equal employment opportunities for veterans and individuals with disabilities.

Through partnerships with OVR, Incight ― a local disability services organization ― and various veterans’ organizations, Eid Passport has significantly increased its employment of veterans and people with disabilities. Of Eid Passport’s more than 300 employees, approximately 11 percent are veterans and 18 percent self-identify as having a disability.

OVR is a statewide resource for people with disabilities and is part of the Oregon Department of Human Services. The program partners with businesses, organizations and members of the community to assist individuals with disabilities in getting and keeping a job that matches their skills, interests and abilities.

Eid Passport has been actively engaged with OVR and Incight-sponsored programs to reach out to individuals with disabilities for the express purpose of hiring qualified candidates. The company also has sponsored and participated in Live Résumé events, Tapping Fresh Talent career fairs and other community events focused on promoting employment opportunities for veterans and people with disabilities.

Additionally, Eid Passport announced in March its partnership with the groundbreaking SERVe Program. The project – a joint Portland State University/Oregon Health & Science University study – is backed by the Department of Defense and aims to improve the health and well-being of veterans employed in Oregon.
