CCAGW PAC Endorses Ohio Congressional Candidates

Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) announced its endorsement of two members of the Ohio congressional delegation, Reps. Steve Chabot (R) and Jim Jordan (R), for re-election to the House of Representatives. CCAGW PAC based its endorsements on each candidate’s lifetime score as listed in CCAGW’s 2013 Congressional Ratings. Each of these candidates is a “Taxpayer Hero” with a lifetime rating of 90 percent or greater.

With a near-perfect score of 99 percent, Rep. Chabot has the highest lifetime rating of the Ohio delegation. During his previous tenure in the House of Representatives (1995-2008), he achieved a 100 percent rating for a record six consecutive years (1997-2002), earning him the coveted title of “Taxpayer Super Hero.” Rep. Jordan has a lifetime rating of 97 percent and scored 100 percent in CCAGW’s 2012 Congressional Ratings, elevating him to the status of “Taxpayer Super Hero” as well. If re-elected, Rep. Chabot would be serving his tenth term, and Rep. Jordan would be serving his fifth.

“The courageous actions of both of these public servants have helped cut wasteful spending, reduce taxes, and make government more accountable and transparent to taxpayers,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “I urge Ohioans in the 1st and 4th Congressional Districts respectively to vote for Reps. Chabot and Jordan for the House on November 4 so they can return to Washington, D.C. and continue to protect the interests of both their constituents and all Americans.”
