Patrick C. Angelos, M.D., joins the physician team at Charleston ENT & Allergy in a welcome return to his home state and place of his alma mater. Dr. Angelos is a Fellowship-Trained Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, and Board-Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. Most recently, he treated patients at the North Florida Center for Otolaryngology and the Facial Rejuvenation Center, both located in St. Augustine, Florida.
Dr. Angelos graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina Honors College in 2002 and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Medical University of South Carolina in 2006. He spent 2006-2011 at the Oregon Health and Science University where he completed a one-year Internship in General Surgery, and a four-year Residency in Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery.
During his Residency at Oregon Health and Science University, Dr. Angelos received the Early Clinical Investigator Grant from the Medical Research Foundation of Oregon in 2008 and the Oregon Academy of Otolaryngology Resident Research Award in 2009. Dr. Angelos’ research is well-published with more than 14 journal articles and book chapters to his credit. His research on Rhinoplasty, as well as other aspects of Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery has been published in the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery, JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery Clinics of North America, Facial Plastic Surgery Journal, and the Laryngoscope. He has given multiple podium presentations across the country at meetings for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive and presented several posters at national Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery meetings.
Dr. Angelos completed a one-year Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under Dean M. Toriumi, M.D. at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2012. Through residency and fellowship, he has trained with four past presidents of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His approach to facial plastic surgery is as thorough and it is thoughtful. In Dr. Angelos words, “My extensive training in head and neck and facial plastic surgery allows me to combine meticulous technical skills with artistic vision in order to achieve natural, lasting improvements in facial beauty and function.”
Dr. Angelos is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is an AAO-HNS, FPRS Education Committee Member and previously served as a AAO/HNS Training Program Resident Representative from 2008-2010.
