3M announced today that Paul A. Keel has been appointed senior vice president, Supply Chain, effective immediately. He replaces Christopher D. Holmes who will retire.
Keel is currently managing director, 3M United Kingdom-Ireland Region. “Paul is an accomplished leader whose strategic thinking skills, international experience and demonstrated record of success make him uniquely qualified for this role,” said Inge Thulin, 3M Chairman, President and CEO.
Keel graduated with an MBA from Harvard University in 1995 and completed successful stints at McKinsey & Company, Norwest Equity Partners and General Electric. He joined 3M in 2004 and led multiple businesses as vice president and general manager, prior to his current role.
James L. Bauman has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president, Business Transformation, Americas, effective January 1, 2015. Bauman is currently senior vice president, Asia Pacific, and brings 32 years of demonstrated success as both a functional and business leader at 3M. “Jim’s collaborative, process-oriented leadership style and extensive background in Lean Six Sigma, make him ideal for this important role,” said Thulin.
