The NEBOSH Construction Certificate training is a qualification both for those with construction management responsibilities and for those who are required to provide routine, day-to-day advice on health, safety and welfare in construction work.

The Construction Certificate is designed to cover general health and safety issues within a construction context as well as placing emphasis on the specific construction issues that make the industry amongst the most dangerous in which to work. This Qualification helps ensure staff are working to up-to-date standards and best practices within their field, whilst gaining internationally recognised and respected qualifications, with no requirement to have already completed other formal qualifications.

The examination comprises two 2-hour written papers and a practical assessment. Each written paper consists of one 'long-answer' question and ten 'short-answer' questions. All questions are compulsory. The practical assessment consists of carrying out a risk assessment of a workplace and preparing a short report.
