PRLog - Dec. 4, 2014 - DETROIT -- On Friday, December 12, 2014, Stephen Tulloch, AGM Automotive and teammates will team up with Angels of Hope to bring the Southeast Michigan business community together for a special evening, the 6th Annual Athletes Adopting Families for the Holidays event at Bistro 82 (address, Royal Oak Mi) from 7-11pm. Tulloch and teammates have collected wish lists from families in need that have been affected by cancer and will be fulfilling each list for Christmas this year.

“This year will be great.  I’ve been able to bring my teammates on board and each position room is helping out by adopting a family in need,” said Tulloch.  “ Angels of Hope helps us locate and connect with the families and we get their lists of needs and wants and we try our best to fulfill everything on all of the lists we receive.  I’m excited that we have many companies from around the area coming back to support us along with some new partners helping make this event even bigger, allowing the foundation to help more people.”

“We love working with Stephen every year. This year he has taken on more families than he has in the past and our goal from this event and partnering with Stephen is to make sure all the families that have been affected by cancer, are able to enjoy their holiday and take a day to forget the worries of cancer and hospitals and just enjoy the day,” says Steve York, Angels of Hope Director.

“I am very excited to partner with Stephen this year helping families in need here in the Metro Detroit area,” said Bob Blinstrub, CEO of AGM Automotive.  “Our company always adopts families for the holidays so partnering with Stephen is a perfect fit as our employees get to be involved, get the families the gifts they want and need, along with our company as a whole contributing help here, in our hometown.”

Operation 55 was launched in 2011 when Tulloch signed with the Detroit Lions.  The purpose of the program is to help as many people as possible and give children throughout the Metro Detroit area opportunities to come to Detroit Lions home games to experience a game day with Tulloch!  Stephen has taken over 2500 kids from various organizations throughout Detroit, including The Jalen Rose Leadership Academy, Big Family and more, to home Detroit Lions games since he became a Detroit Lion.  Tulloch also partnered with the Covenant House of Michigan, providing 55 kids with free dental services, and has continually adopted families in Detroit for the holidays providing them with food, clothing and toys every year.

This year, Tulloch also took on the task of adopting 55 schools in Detroit, also fulfilling their wish lists of needs including books, school supplies, computers, tablets,  recess equipment and more.  The 55 school project began in October and will continue to help schools until Tulloch reaches his commitment of helping all 55 schools across the area.

The event will include food, open premium bar, music, great company and many great surprises throughout the evening. There will be a live and silent auction and the annual bottle drawing and donation table, where one lucky guest will go home with an an exclusive gift from Stephen Tulloch.

Tickets to attend the event are $150. For more information and to purchase tickets please visit, www.Tulloch55.com
