Indonesia, Feb 2, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - Vice President Jusuf Kalla is scheduled to inaugurate two projects in Jambi - a pedestrian bridge in the city and a fish feed factory in Tangkit Baru village, Muarojambi District, Jambi Governor Hasan Basri Agus said.

The governor who inspected the preparations of the fish feed factory on Sunday said that besides inaugurating the two projects, the vice president will also attend a number of functions in Jambi.

"We have invited the Vice President. We hope he will meet our invitation and inaugurate the pedestrian bridge and the fish feed factory," Governor Hasan Basri said.

Head of Tangkit Baru Village Andi Baharu Alam said on Monday the Vice President is expected to inaugurate the 'patin' catfish meal factory next week, February 12.

He said the factory which has a capacity of processing 500 kg fish meals per hour is expected to meet the need for fish feed of the local fish farmers.

Tangkit Baru Village, which is situated about 12 km from the Jambi City and is well known as a pineapple town, produces some 5 tons of patin fish per day, he said. (Antara)
