Kyocera Announces Nationwide Availability of DuraXV Rugged Feature Phone at Verizon Wireless

Kyocera Communications, Inc. today announced its latest ruggedized feature phone, DuraXV, available immediately online and in Verizon Wireless retail stores for $99.99 with a new two-year activation. DuraXV is perfect for enterprises or active people who want to stay connected and get things done but don’t need the complexities or high cost of a smartphone to make it happen.

Built for extreme conditions, the DuraXV boasts an ultra-rugged design and is certified to Military Standard 810G and IP68 to resist dust, shock, extreme temperatures and water immersion for up to 30 minutes in up to six feet of water. The DuraXV holds up against drops, spills, tumbles and virtually anything else that comes its way.

“The DuraXV is built for construction workers, manufacturing operators, utility employees, outdoor enthusiasts and all those who need a phone that can withstand a tough day on the job, but also provide the features necessary to keep them connected,” said Eric Anderson, senior vice president and general manager of global sales and marketing at Kyocera Communications. “Kyocera is proud to once again team up with Verizon Wireless to deliver the ultra-rugged, easy-to-use, worry-free DuraXV to customers across the country.”

BUILT FOR BUSINESS, WHEREVER IT TAKES YOU

The DuraXV is work-ready, providing extreme toughness without sacrificing power or features, and is certified for use in hazardous work locations (Non-incendive, Class I, Division 2, Groups A-D, T4). Equipped with a five-megapixel autofocus camera and video camcorder, DuraXV allows users to document whatever comes their way. For those whose work prohibits cameras, a non-camera version of DuraXV is available.

The DuraXV provides both functionality and durability through its smartly designed, super-resilient build. The large, tactile keypad and buttons make it easy to use with gloved fingers or hearty hands. Convenient top keys give quick access to activate the speaker phone and end calls. And dual front speakers allow calls to be heard clearly even in noisy environments or outdoor job sites. In addition, the internal and external displays allow for improved readability outdoors.

FEATURE RICH AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE

The DuraXV helps users stay connected and productive with Mobile Web, VZ Navigator for GPS and voice-command phone navigation. A comprehensive feature list is available at www.kyoceramobile.com or on Verizon Wireless’ DuraXV by Kyocera product page.
