Imation's Nexsan Assureon Storage Solutions Achieve Financial Certification in Germany

Imation (NYSE:IMN), a global data storage and information security company, today announced that its Nexsan Assureon™ secure storage solutions have been certified by audit firm KPMG. The audit covers the use of Assureon by organizations based wholly or in part in Germany as part of their efforts to comply with German auditing processes. It also enables Imation and its partners to offer Assureon and its best-in-class storage backup and archive capabilities as part of the comprehensive IT solutions they build to store and protect high-value data for end users throughout the nation.

PS 880 procedures certify that accounting-relevant products offered for sale and used properly comply with generally accepted German accounting principles. Solutions are audited in detail to test their processing functions and rules, as well as their security aspects such as access protection and data security.
