Finisar's forecast tops estimates

Finisar Corp. (Nasdaq: FNSR) reported sharply lower third quarter earnings of 2 cents per share compared with 28 cents per share a year earlier but revenue rose to top estimates and the company forecast current quarter earnings and revenue ahead of expectations. The stock price climbed $1.90 to close at $22.23.
