Ocean Exchange Call for Solutions 2015 Now Active for Gulfstream Navigator Award and Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics Orcelle Award. Seeking Early Stage Innovations with Working Prototypes to Advance Sustainability
PRLog - March 11, 2015 - SAVANNAH, Ga. -- The Ocean Exchange proudly announces the launch of its fifth annual global competition for the 2015 Gulfstream Navigator Award of $100,000 and the 2015 Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics Orcelle Award of $100,000.

The theme for the 2015 competition is TRANSLATE SUSTAINABILITY INTO VALUE and calls for innovations that generate economic growth and increased productivity while reducing the use of nature’s resources and waste.  The Ocean Exchange is seeking inventive and globally scalable solutions, i.e. Solutions Inspiring Action, that have a positive impact on our economies, health and the environment, while respecting cultures around the world.   The awards process will focus on clean, efficient energy and its storage/transmission; resilient ocean/land/air resources; efficient supply chains; and underlying science and technologies that support sustainability.

“Previous winners of the Gulfstream Navigator Award have put forth valuable creations that address environmental challenges with a worldwide impact, from inventions that tackle energy-efficient water desalination to finding unforeseen ways to produce energy,” said Joe Lombardo, executive vice president, Aerospace Group, General Dynamics. “The Ocean Exchange provides a forum for new ways of thinking about sustainability, and Gulfstream is once again proud to partner with them on this award.”

To enter the 2015 competition, participants should register their solutions in the Ocean Exchange Gallery by 11:59 p.m. (GMT) on May 17, 2015, by completing a pre-screening application through http://www.oceanexchange.org.  Immediately after the deadline, Ocean Exchange’s international solutions review panel of multi-disciplinary experts will begin its review of all applications registered in the Gallery to select:
