The 9th annual Dress for Success Morris County fundraising gala will be held on April 23, 2015 at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston, New Jersey.
PRLog - March 12, 2015 - MADISON, N.J. -- Dress for Success® Morris County, which serves 8 counties in New Jersey will be hosting its 9th annual Transforming Lives Gala on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at The Crystal Plaza in Livingston, NJ. The event is will raise funds and increase awareness of the organization’s mission to assist unemployed or under-employed women as they seek meaningful and sustainable employment.
The 2015 Gala will honor Michael LaForge, CPA, CGMA, Member of the certified public accounting firm Sobel & Co., LLC since 1987. Mike initially has served as the Member in Charge of the Firm’s Nonprofit and Social Services Group, the Employee Benefit Plan Practice Group and was the Member in Charge of Audit and Accounting. Today he is primarily responsible for the growth and development of the firm’s Manufacturing and Distribution Practice Group. “Dress for Success Morris County is thrilled to honor Mike because of his passion and commitment to mentoring in the workforce,” said Bette Schultz of Chatham Township, President, Dress for Success® Morris County Board of Directors. “Mentoring is a powerful tool and a critical component of what we do for the women we serve at Dress for Success® Morris County --helping to transform the lives of those that need a leg up to succeed professionally and personally. Mike’s dedication to mentoring is representative of what we do and as such, we know he can serve as an inspiration and role model for others as well.”
The 9th annual Transforming Lives Gala will include a cocktail hour, three-course dinner, silent auction and live auction. All proceeds from the Gala will assist Dress for Success Morris County in continuing its mission, supporting the organization’s year-round programs of career development and skills training in addition to providing women with professional attire. In 2014 Dress for Success Morris County served over 1100 women across Morris, Essex, Middlesex, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties. The organization spends nearly $1000 to serve each woman annually and all clothing and program services are free to the women. Get tickets here.
