IAT Reinsurance Company Ltd. Rebrands and Repositions

As part of its overall strategic realignment effort, IAT Reinsurance Company, Ltd., and its affiliated companies will be rebranded as IAT Insurance Group. The new brand will better identify the global insurance organization and its operating divisions as part of the group’s family of businesses – each sharing the same quality standards, commitment to service and innovation, and overall mission for excellence. The realignment also will leverage the company’s leadership talent, analytics, operating platforms, and risk capabilities across the enterprise, resulting in the better delivery of more specialized insurance solutions for its commercial and personal lines clients. Use of the new brand will begin immediately.

IAT’s business divisions encompass personal automobile, commercial transportation, general agency and managing general underwriters, assumed reinsurance and crop segments of the insurance marketplace. Business will continue to be conducted through the group’s eight domestic insurance companies: Acceptance Casualty Insurance Company, Acceptance Indemnity Insurance Company, Commercial Alliance Insurance Company, Harco National Insurance Company, Occidental Fire & Casualty Company of North Carolina, Service Insurance Company, TransGuard Insurance Company of America, Inc., and Wilshire Insurance Company. Each of these businesses will reflect its association with IAT Insurance Group within its existing brands.

As throughout its history, the company will continue to maintain a strong culture emphasizing customer service, innovation and integrity.

IAT Insurance Group traces its roots back to 1986 when the predecessor company to IAT Reinsurance Company Ltd. was founded by investor Peter Kellogg. The privately owned business, which employs more than 600 people throughout the United States, is rated A- by A.M. Best.
