Trafficware announces the release of Synchro® plus SimTraffic Version 9.1, the industry’s most popular and widely used traffic optimization and simulation tool. This next generation product release adds Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA), a feature designed to assess the adequacy of existing or future arterial traffic generated by proposed property developments.
“Since the Synchro traffic analysis product is used by engineers in more than 90 countries around the world and in every state in the United States and province in Canada, the impact of today’s release is sizeable and far reaching,” explains Darren Beyer, Trafficware chief technology officer.
Synchro’s traffic impact analysis will streamline traffic engineers workload by automatically generating routes (into and out of a proposed development), automating calculations for Trip Assignments and Distributions, and facilitating planning of multiple future growth projections to provide the most comprehensive Traffic Impact Study.
Trip Generation data imports directly for users of TripGen 2014; otherwise, volumes are entered into Synchro. Pass-by trips are included with Trip Generation and Trip Distribution. Also, to simplify when there are multiple property developments, each with multiple driveways and land uses, they can now be included in one Synchro file.
Combined with Synchro’s ability to plan and simulate traffic flows, TIA represents a marked increase in power and flexibility to the Synchro product suite. This additional functionality, along with other enhancements, comes free of charge to all Synchro 9 users who are under maintenance agreements.
