Search Google backwards with this secret April Fools' Day trick (GOOG)

It's no secret that Google likes to have fun on April Fools' Day — after all it already allows you to play Pac-Man in Google Maps — but its latest trick lets you now search Google backwards.

Google has created a mirror image of its search engine, reversing everything from its logo to its domain name, which can be accessed at com.google since Google is the sole owner of the ".google" domain.

Here's what it looks.

If you type something in and hit enter, you'll find that even the search results are mirrored.

Aside from the everything being flipped, you can still use the new version of Google just as you would before: You can sign in to your Google account, browse the Google dashboard, and check your settings — but if you want to read it you might want to use a mirror.

For an added bonus, Product Hunt's Ryan Hoover discovered that you can type in "Do a barrel roll" in the search bar to cause the search engine to perform a little trick and temporarily return to normal.

Here's what that little maneuver looks like.
