PRLog - April 14, 2015 - WASHINGTON -- UTROPIX travel consultant Antonia Stalling will be checking a “to-do” off her bucket list when she travels to Egypt this October on an eight-day familiarization trip through UTROPIX affiliate, G Adventures.
Familiarization trips, commonly known as FAMTrips, are hailed as one of the most intriguing perks that come along with being a certified travel consultant through UTROPIX, as these excursions afford consultants the opportunity to be on the receiving-end of adventure.
While in Egypt, Stalling will travel by donkey to the Valley of Kings, visit a Nubian village for a home-cooked meal prepared by a local family, and sail the Nile overnight on a support boat. From there, she’ll fly back to Cairo for more exploration. All the while, certified Egyptologists will act as her personal guides.
As with Stalling, travel vendors select consultants to act as FAM agents based on their interests, visiting popular destinations to better understand their overall ‘feel.’ While abroad, FAM agents are immersed in culture and activity that is unique to the location free of charge. Stalling says, “All I have to do is get there.”
Stalling, who joined UTROPIX just four months ago, adds she is simply excited about the experience. Back stateside, she’ll be able to paint a vibrant picture of that experience for others looking to travel to Egypt.
