On Tuesday, April 21, U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez will join students, staff, community supporters, operators, employers, members of Congress and others to mark the Job Corps 50th Anniversary at a celebration and dinner at the Mellon Auditorium in Washington, DC. Hosted by the National Job Corps Association’s Foundation for Youth Opportunities, the event will honor employer and corporate partners, local Job Corps students and staff, and the program’s champions from Washington and across the country.
Job Corps is the nation’s largest and most successful residential and educational workforce training program for economically disadvantaged youth, ages 16 through 24. The mission of the National Job Corps Association is to unite the Job Corps community through activities and services that strengthen the program for the benefit of students, staff and employers.
