In the report Gartner analysts point out "Supply chain leaders are struggling to respond quickly to sudden changes in demand, so they must focus on tools that help them converge planning and execution activities".
In recent years supply chains have become more complex, and risk has increased. This has led to a situation where disruptions are much harder to foresee, making the case stronger for real-time supply chain visibility solutions.
