The index is equal-weighted and consists of companies that support lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) equality in their workplace. For inclusion, a company must score 100% on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index, or, if not found in that index, have the verifiable characteristics that would earn them such a score. Companies must also have a minimum $250 million market capitalization and pass liquidity screens.
