Local Favorite MuddSharks To Play Free Concert Sunday June 7

There will be something for every member of the family at Glenwoodie Golf Course’s gazebo on Sunday, June 7th, as the MuddSharks entertain the crowd. The free concert will feature this local, award-winning band’s variety, from rock to reggae and everything in-between.

“The MuddSharks have a strong, loyal following for a reason,” says Paul Styles, Trustee for the Village of Glenwood. “They play classic rock, blues, funk, R & B, country, jam - it will be an afternoon filled with singing, dancing and family fun. For families with small children and seniors, the daytime hours will make it easier to attend and enjoy.”

Styles encourages, “This is a free concert, sponsored by our outstanding Glenwood businesses, set within the beauty of our Glenwoodie Golf Course. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and come make a day of it.” Concessions will be available from Glenwoodie’s Club House, featuring thick juicy burgers, pizza, and ice cold beverages. There is ample free parking and there will be a dance floor, ready for kids and adults alike to enjoy.

The band features Mike Columbo, Dan “Luke Skyrocker” Smith, Tony “Ditty Bag” Nuzzo and Mark “Magicman” Landes. Columbo says, “This ain’t music you listen to. This is music you boogie to.” Their high energy performances have earned them many local awards, including one of the Top 10 Northwest Indiana Bar Bands and one of the Top 5 Cover Bands. Sound quality, dynamics, and harmonies are primary concerns for the MuddSharks, as they work to provide the best overall experience to their audience. “Our greatest enjoyment is bringing people together in a spirit of fun, frolic, laughter, song and dance.”

The free concert begins at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 7th and ends at 5:00 pm. Glenwoodie Golf Course, 19301 South State Street in Glenwood, is easily accessible from I-80 and I-94 via I-394. Parking is free. The gazebo is just south of the clubhouse and just west of the 9th green. For more information, visit villageofglenwood.com or call Katie Schranz at 708-757-2318.
