Last Call For Auditions for Screenwise’s Showreel acting course in Sydney

By: PRLog
Screenwise’s popular Showreel Course offers students hands on screen acting training and a professional Showreel on completion. Auditions are now open for the Showreel Course commencing 15 July 2015.
PRLog - June 18, 2015 - The Showreel Course is Screenwise's most popular part-time course. It is a proven launch pad for acting careers including Stef Dawson (Hunger Games: Mockingjay 1 & 2), George Houvardas (Packed to the Rafters), Nathaniel Buzolic (The Vampire Diaries) and many more.

The course offers students much more than a showreel compile. Throughout the part-time year long course, students work on all aspects of their screen performances with professional tutors who are leading actors, top directors and casting agents.

In the final stages of the course, students prepare for their showreel shoot under the guidance of industry professionals. Course costs are all-inclusive and cover tuition, showreel shoot, professional director, editing and post production.

Showreel alumni boasts actors of the calibre of Stef Dawson (Hunger Games: Mockingjay 1 & 2). George Houvardas (Packed to the Rafters), Tabrett Bethell (Legend of the Seeker), Valentino Del Toro (Fools Gold), Christian Clark (Home and Away), Ed Kavalee (Border Protection Squad), Nathaniel Buzolic (The Vampire Diaries), Matt Levett (Winners & Losers, A Place To Call Home), Claire Scott (Packed to the Rafters), Israel Cannan (Home and Away), Andy Whitfield (Spartacus) and Meegan Warner (Turn)

The difference between undertaking the course, and simply paying a small business to create a showreel– is that Screenwise Showreel graduates have the skills and confidence to back up the performances on their showreel at auditions and screen tests.

The Course is designed to develop a showreel that shows the breadth and depth of a student's acting talent, including: age range, emotional range and type. Without the right training and personal guidance from professionals who know an actor's strengths, it is extremely difficult for an emerging actor to get the right balance and depth on their showreel. Furthermore, the showreel must also meet the ever-changing industry standards for excellence in film production and acting techniques.
