A new summer reading list for teens, compiled from recommendations of parents, teen readers, and the help of librarians, named Summer Sleep-Away by Ofer Aronskind one of the top ten teen books. The list was created to encourage teens to read more for pleasure, especially while they are on hiatus from school.
The list of 10 books, culled from a few hundred submissions is divided into 2 categories – classic and contemporary books. Many of the parents who contributed to the list, said they recommended books that were written for teens but they enjoyed reading as well.
