Renowned Theater Producer Stays Busy On Stage And Screen

Beverly Orozco Directs Two Plays for the Strawberry One-Act Festival

NEW YORK, NY, July 13, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- From the mind that brought laughs and sold out shows to several New York venues, comes a number of stage and screen projects across a myriad of genres.

Beverly Orozco has been tapped to direct not one, but two plays during the 27th season of Van Dirk Fisher's Strawberry One Act Film Festival held each year in Manhattan, New York.

The event draws hundreds of playwrights from across the nation.

"The Big Flush," a political satire chronicles the story of a multimillionaire's journey as he buys his way into the New York Senate.

In a drama called, "Careful What You Wish For," a woman who has a strained relationship with her stepfather gets exaggerated news upon his death.

Following her festival activities comes a return to a familiar hit, "Newlyweds." This romantic comedy follows the lives of a couple that fall in love believing that the other is wealthy, only to find out they're both broke.

Taking her passion for storytelling to the silver screen, Beverly will finish out the year working on her debut feature film, "Getting Even," a romantic comedy highlighting the highs and lows of four women who date wealthy celebrities.

Orozco plans on shooting in New York and is currently locking in locations and casting for several starring roles.

"I'm from New York, so I want to bring a piece of Hollywood here," Beverly gleams.
