Wesley Chapel Karate School Teaches Kids Value Of Self-Defense

Zephyrhills, Florida based dojo, Impact Karate Center, is teaching the importance of self-defense to children. And not only is the Wesley Chapel Karate School offering martial arts training to children, but they are also providing a 30 day free trial of their training services.

"We want to teach self-defense to children, but also give them the tools that they need to succeed in life," states owner and trainer Joe Trinkaus.

The karate center nurtures children with character building tools that are found only in this kind of martial arts. This training helps to provide children with moral and physical skills that enable them to handle bullies, become positive role models, and overcome personal challenges throughout life, all while developing confidence and learning how to be a leader as opposed to simply being a follower.

"Karate teaches children and teens how to confront and overcome peer pressure from people who try to influence them," states Trinkaus. "I mean, children learn to stand up for something. Why wouldn't parents want them to stand up for themselves, build their goals, and learn how to follow through on those goals?"

In the program, children learn self-esteem and personal confidence, as well as the ability to set and achieve their personal goals. Physical fitness is also a part of the program, according to Trinkaus, and helps children to overcome physical challenges and weight issues that could plague them throughout adulthood.

As part of Impact Karate Center's "Kids with Kick" initiative, they are offering parents a 30 day free training to get children started. This gives parents and their children an opportunity to visit the center, attend classes, and learn more about the program, to determine if they feel it is beneficial and is suitable for their children.

One parent whose child is attending training recently commented, "Since Logan started training at Impact Karate Center his confidence has skyrocketed. He loves going to class and working towards his next advancement. It's great seeing him so engaged in an activity!"

More about the program, including class times and ages, as well as information about Impact Karate Center can be found on the company's website.
