China's official September factory PMI at 49.8, above estimates and August's 49.7 reading

Activity in China's all-important manufacturing sector improved in September, with the government's official Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) rising to 49.8, from August's three-year low of 49.7, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday.
